These projects should be avoided at all costs since its structurally unsound.
The fundamental of these projects is flawed to start with since these projects allow anybody to convert their carbon credit retirement certificates into carbon credit tokens, which buyers of these tokens can offset (retire) their carbon footprint.
The developers of these projects tried to use a short-cut to solve the issues of non-existence ownership registries by using the retirement certificate numbers instead but what they did not mean was that Carbon credits that are retired mean it has already been used, therefore it cannot be used or retired again.
